Serves seniors in Northeast Minneapolis, Columbia Heights and Saint Anthony Village. Looking for help hooking up your Digital Television converter box? Volunteers are available to assist you with ordering coupons, purchasing and hooking up boxes. Call 612-781-5096 to request a volunteer to help you.
Need a little help mowing the grass, cleaning out the garage, shoveling snow or making minor repairs screened independent contractors are available to help you. Independent contractors charge $15/hour. During the summer, volunteer groups are also available to help with home maintenance. Call 612-781-5096.

Wanted seniors 60 & over who need help with weekly chores and projects.
Area youth, ages 12-18, are willing and eager to do a variety of household chores and yard work. Call Northwest Youth & Family Services to sign up for our chore program or to arrange for services. Affordable rates from $5.00 to $10.00 per hour. Financial assistance is available for low-income seniors.

Let the Paint-A-Thon help you! The Metro Paint-A-Thon helps seniors and people with disabilities continue to live independently in their own homes. Paint-A-Thon is a program of the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches. Painting usually takes place the first weekend in August.
If your house is in need of paint, but not major repair, we'd like to work with you.
THE DEADLINE IS usually in May.
Household Income (income of all persons living in the home) must not exceed: 1 person $1,735 monthly 2 people $2,335 monthly
3 people $2,935 monthly
Homes are selected based on financial need, the condition of the homes and suitability for volunteer workers. Volunteer workers will scrape, prime and paint your home and/or garage.

A BRUSH WITH KINDNESS - Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity
Painting -- General Cleanup -- Minor Repairs
You can receive help with home restoration projects. A Brush with Kindness is a neighborhood program of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. This program offers home preservation services such as house painting, minor repairs and general cleanup for low-income homeowners. Most projects are for exterior (outside) restoration. Most projects are completed within one week.
Teams of volunteers are matched with homes that are appropriate for the size and experience of the volunteer group. Supplies are donated by area businesses. All paint and most other supplies are furnished by a Brush with Kindness.
